Good things come to those who wait...

And so the saying goes. If that is the case, then we are going to get a really blessed deal out of this condo purchase of ours. And we are going to wait... Some more. Maybe three weeks longer, in fact. There are so many factors, all of them being well out of our control. It seems to really comes down to the unfortunate economic situation that our country is in. Big picture: there are job cutbacks all over the place, and too much work for a few people. The market is saturated with bank repos (our home is in this bunch), and those require more people, more papers, and more training as to how to deal with the details. Throw in a federal loan program AND a state loan program, and the whole thing is a complicated mess. Now that your poor unfortunate soul has been exposed to far too much of this info, I will just say this: we shall be patient. We will trust. Because it is what we are told we should do. We have done what we can, and we have excellent and capable people working on our behalf (all who need to get paid). We have a comfortable place to live, with people who love us. And we aren't paying rent :). Ha! so, life is good. We'll just move later. After the summer school class and the weddings and such.

Sounds like they should have figured all this out BEFORE they gave you the original closing date! I'm glad you at least have a place to stay and that it's rent free! Hopefully you get into your new home soon!
